Description
The Fanore Shawl is named after the small Irish seaside village of Fanore, which is known for its long beach and extensive sand dune system. This beautiful beach is what inspired the Fanore Shawl.
This asymmetrical triangular shawl- uses only one skein of fingering weight yarn, so it’s perfect for that single skein you have been saving! It’s filled with relaxing stockinette and bands of garter reminiscent of waves crashing over smooth water, finished with a wide moss stitch border inspired by the rocky shore.
It is a timeless design, easy enough for a confident beginner but with enough interest to keep a more advanced knitter engaged. I’ve designed this shawl to be very wearable, with a shape that is as simple to style as it is to knit. However you wear it and wherever you may be, I hope it keeps you warm and toasty.
